Description

This is the sweater for when your solid knits are starting to blur together. The stripe gives it enough personality to change the feel of an outfit, but the relaxed crew neck shape keeps it easy to pull on without overthinking the rest. It is especially good with the pieces that sometimes feel a little plain on their own, like cords, simple skirts or your most familiar denim. One sweater, and suddenly the outfit has direction.

WEAR IT 3 WAYS

Weekend With Almost No Planning Wear it with corduroy pants or relaxed denim and loafers. The stripe does enough that you can keep the rest of the outfit very simple and still look finished.

Make Your Basics Feel New Again Pair it with a straight skirt and ankle boots. The graphic stripe gives the skirt more energy and makes the combination feel less predictable than another solid knit.

Under a Simple Coat Add a clean wool coat, easy trousers and sneakers or flats. Let the stripe peek through underneath so the outfit has interest without needing extra accessories.

THE LORDON Styling Note

Striped sweaters are useful because they do the job of an accessory without adding anything else. If the outfit feels flat, start here. Keep the rest of the pieces quieter and let the knit bring the movement and contrast. It is also an easy way to make older basics in your closet feel current again.
