Description

This is the sweater that makes the simplest pieces in your closet suddenly feel worth wearing again. The stripe brings just enough energy to black trousers, denim and simple skirts, while the wider ribbed hem and relaxed shape give it more presence than a basic striped knit. The cotton rich yarn makes it an especially useful piece when you want a sweater without a heavy, bulky feel. It is polished enough to wear out for lunch, relaxed enough for a Saturday, and interesting enough that the outfit does not need much help.

WEAR IT 3 WAYS

Turn Black Trousers Into Weekend Clothes Wear it loose with your favourite black trousers and loafers or sneakers. The stripe immediately takes the office feeling out of the pants and gives you another reason to wear them.

The No Decision Saturday Outfit Add straight leg denim, a simple flat and a leather bag. You already know the pieces work. The sweater is what keeps the combination from feeling like the same jeans outfit you wore last week.

Give a Skirt Some Ease Pair it with a satin or straight midi skirt and ankle boots. The relaxed knit takes some of the dressiness out of the skirt and makes it far more useful for daytime plans.

THE LORDON Styling Note

The longer ribbed section at the bottom is what makes this sweater interesting proportionally. Let it fall naturally rather than trying to tuck all of it in. The side openings keep the shape from looking heavy and allow the sweater to sit easily over a waistband. If you want a little more definition, lift just the front slightly rather than forcing a full tuck.
