Description

The sweater you put on when you want the outfit to feel interesting before you have added a single accessory. The Fenwick Textured Mock Neck Sweater combines a softly structured neckline with rows of cable, ribbed and raised knit detailing that give it plenty of character while still being easy to wear. Pull it on with jeans for a weekend away, wear it with trousers for lunch or work, or pair it with a skirt when you want something a little more feminine. The shape is relaxed enough for everyday life, but the beautiful knit work makes it feel anything but basic.

WEAR IT 3 WAYS

1. Weekend Away

Wear it with relaxed straight leg denim, leather clogs and a roomy tote. Add a barn jacket or utility coat over top and let the textured neckline show. It is an easy outfit for a drive, coffee stop, market or casual lunch.

2. With a Clean Trouser

Pair it with a straight or gently tapered trouser that keeps the silhouette clean underneath the detailed knit. Add a slingback flat or simple leather boot and a substantial cuff bracelet. This lets the sweater feel polished without turning it into traditional office dressing.

3. With a Midi Skirt

Wear it with a bias or softly A line midi skirt and tall boots. The heavier texture of the sweater against the movement of the skirt creates a beautiful contrast and gives you a feminine outfit that still feels relaxed. Add a small shoulder bag and let the knit do most of the work.

THE LORDON Styling Note

This sweater already has your Third Piece Rule built into it. The mix of cables, ribbing and raised stitches creates enough visual interest that you can keep everything around it very simple. Instead of adding more layers or accessories, focus on contrasting textures. Denim, smooth trousers, suede or a softer skirt will each make the knit feel completely different.
