Description

The layer that makes a simple shirt and jeans outfit suddenly feel finished. The Elowen Cable Sweater Vest has a relaxed shape with soft cable knit texture and an easy crew neckline, giving you warmth and interest without the bulk of another full sweater. Wear it over a crisp white shirt for lunch or work, layer it over a simple tee for an everyday look, or pair it with trousers when you want something polished but still comfortable.

WEAR IT 3 WAYS

1. Over a White Shirt

Layer it over a white button down or feminine cotton blouse and let the sleeves, collar and a little of the shirt hem show. Pair with straight leg or wide leg dark denim and finish with loafers or ballet flats. The shirt gives the knit a little structure while the sweater vest keeps the outfit relaxed, making this an easy combination for work, lunch or everyday plans.

2. With a Simple Tee and Denim

Wear it over a fitted white or cream tee with straight leg jeans and a leather loafer or clean sneaker. Keep the tee close to the body so you do not add unnecessary volume underneath the knit. Add a leather shoulder bag and simple jewellery for an easy weekend outfit that feels much more intentional than jeans and a tee on their own.

3. Polished with Trousers

Pair it with a lightweight long sleeve top or fine knit underneath and add a fluid pleated trouser. A pointed flat or sleek loafer and structured bag will make the sweater vest feel polished enough for work or dinner. Keep the base layer and trouser fairly simple and let the cable texture be the interesting part of the outfit.

THE LORDON Styling Note

Sweater vests are one of the easiest ways to use the Third Piece Rule without adding a heavy jacket or cardigan. The key is keeping the layer underneath a little more streamlined. A crisp shirt, fitted tee or fine knit will sit smoothly underneath and allow the relaxed shape of the vest to fall properly. If you are wearing it with a wider pant, showing the shirt cuff or neckline also helps break up the volume and keeps the outfit feeling balanced.
